“Leave Sooner,Drive Slower,Live Longer”

The students of the pre-primary wing of D.A.V Public Senior Secondary School, Mohali, celebrated Road Safety Week in the first week of February.

The celebration aimed to educate the young students about the importance of road safety and the various measures that exist to achieve it. Throughout the week the young ones participated in various activities like poetry recitation and enactments of the traffic signs that exist along the roads. The sessions were interactive as everyone was encouraged to give their thoughts while learning about the traffic signs. The students were shown videos and had interactive activities about the traffic lights and what is to be done when they see that light on the road. The students of senior classes  made catchy posters bringing home the point of Road safety which depicted that how important it is to follow Road Safety Rules which can save so many innocent lives. The students pledged to follow these rules as they are the torch bearers of the nation.

Overall, the week was enriching for the students as they learnt about road safety while undertaking fun activities.
